Basic Classification

Production process

We take a 2.4mm connector as an example to introduce the manufacturing process of the connector. The 2.4mm connector manufacturing process generally starts with stamping pins. The electronic connectors are stamped from thin metal strips by means of a large high-speed stamping press. A large roll of metal tape is fed into the front end of the press, and the other end is wound through the hydraulic table of the press into the tape reel, which pulls out the tape and rolls it to stamp the finished product.

After the 2.4mm connector pin stamping is completed, it should be sent to the plating section. At this stage, the electronic contact surface of the connector will be plated with various metal coatings. The connector contact part plating is to improve electrical conductivity, corrosion and wear resistance, improve solderability. Metals with good mechanical properties often do not have excellent electrical conductivity, corrosion and wear resistance, and solderability.
